See new Rebuilding Photos in the Photo Gallery! Progess is being made! We are looking forward to seeing everyone in the 2012 Season!
November 18, 2011 Update:
We are making more progress than originally anticipated this fall. The mild weather has beeen a blessing (along with Paul's hard work!). We've gone from aiming to have 17 of the lower section sites repaired and rentable in 2012 to possibly having all sites ready but 10-15 on the river!! So, please keep posted here and if you can wait, don't cancel your 2012 reservations with us yet. The big weekend in question will be Memorial Day. If you have reservations for this weekend in 2012, you may want to look at alternatives in case we are not ready. We are however feeling that July reservations forward should be able to stay as is. So much depends on how long this mild fall lasts and how early spring comes next year. Please feel free to call any time to check progress and help you to decide whether you should make alternate plans. Thank you for your continued support and patience as we work to rebuild.

Thank you to everyone (all 400-500 of you!!) that helped to make the Abel Mountain Flannel Formal such a HUGE success!!!! The day was incredible and exceeded our hopes in so many ways!
The funds raised will help to reduce the amount we need to borrow to be able to rebuild the campground and we are so very grateful for that.
CONGRATULATIONS to the winner, Nina Witham from East Calais, VT, of the John Deere Riding Lawn Mower!! The raffle alone raised almost $20,000!!!!!
The day consisted of a grand social hour and auction preview, a live auction, silent auction, tractor raffle, pedestal sponsorship, a pumpkin catapult, a pot luck nearing Guinness Records in size, a line dancing performance by the Step 'n Time Line Dancers and dancing with music provided by Abel Mtn favorite, Yvonne & the Reverbs! Everything was donated by generous family, friends and local businesses.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT! WE CONSIDER OURSELVES VERY LUCKY IN THIS REGARD.

We have had many people asking how they can help....unfortunately, the devastation is beyond man-power. We are asking anyone that is willing to please contact our governor and/or legislators to express your concern for businesses devasted by the hurricane and urge them to provide assistance and/or encourage FEMA to step in. We will not survive without assistance financially. Thank you.
